Baek-gyeol (Ahn Bo-Hyun), with passion and purity, is a young commander of the army of Gyeonryong, who is the royal guard. He falls in love with Princess Kyeonghwa, Wang-Hee (Soo-Hyun), who is the youngest daughter of the emperor. She closes her mind in the world due to a political marriage. She embarks on her palace and spends her days without meaning, when she falls in love with Baek-Gyeol. But, his love for him, has him named the special commander of a convoy. The mission of the convoy is to find a holy relic which contains miraculous powers.
Choi-Koo (Lee Sung-Min) is a veteran warrior who has experienced many ferocious battlefields. One day, he is selected to participate in the convoy led by Baek-Gyeol. Meanwhile, Geol-Seung (Ha Yoon-Kyung) runs a small restaurant in the street in Ganghwado. Due to Baek-Gyeol’s request, she joined the convoy as a guide.
