Shin Ha-Kyun, Oh Jung-Se and Heo Sung-Tae are cast in the MBC drama series “Fifties Professionals”. The drama series is an action comedy scripted by Jang Won-Seob and directed by Han Dong-Hwa (“Shadow Detective”). The setting of the drama series revolves around three men who are now on Yeongseon Island. They each seek the truth about an incident that occurred in the past. Shin Ha-Kyun will play Jung Ho-Myung. He is a former black agent of the National Intelligence Service. Oh Jung-Se will play Bong Je-Soon. He was a special agent for North Korea, but he lost his memory. Heo Sung-Tae will play Kang Beom-Ryong. He owns a convenience store on the island and is the former number two of a notorious gang.

“Fifties Professionals” will be broadcast in the first half of 2026 in South Korea.

Jung Ho-Myung (Shin Ha-Kyun) was the top black agent in the National Intelligence Service. After being falsely accused, he left the National Intelligence Service. While hiding his true identity, he works as a cook at Oran Chinese Restaurant on Yeongseon Island. He runs after the “thing” that made him this way.

Bong Je-Soon (Oh Jung-Se) is a former North Korean special agent who has lost his memory. He was the strongest human weapon, known as the Fire Dog. During an operation, he was stranded on Yeongseon Island after an unexpected accident. He is searching for his memory, while suffering from identity confusion and abuse from his boss at work.

Kang Beom-Ryong (Heo Sung-Tae) runs a convenience store on Yeongseon Island. He was once a legendary gangster and the #2 guy in the Volcano Gang. An incident led to the disintegration of the Volcano Gang. To take revenge, he came to Yeongseon Island after the “thing” and Jung Ho-Myung. Taking care of his boss in prison, Kang Beom-Ryong has a big plan to get everything back to the way it was.
