Nanoka Hara is in the cast of the film “Mieruko-chan”. The teen horror film is based on the webcomic series “Mieruko-chan” by Tomoki Izumi and directed by Yoshihiro Nakamura (“Golden Slumber”). Although the story is primarily a teen horror story, it also contains elements of comedy and human drama. Nanoka Hara will play the main protagonist, Miko Yotsuya. She is suddenly able to see the spirits around her.

“Mieruko-chan” will be released next year in Japan.

Plot synopsis by AsianWiki: Miko Yotsuya (Nanoka Hara) is a high school student. One day, she is suddenly able to see spirits. Faced with the mysterious presence that surrounds her in her daily life, Miko Yotsuya chooses to ignore them. If the spirits knew that Miko Yotsuya could see them, she doesn’t know what would happen. Terrified by this, she continues to pretend not to notice. When the shadow of the spirit settles on her best friend, can Miko Yotsuya continue to ignore them?
