First trailer and displays Teaser added for the film “The Ugly” with Jeong-Min and Kwon Hae-Hyo park. The film is written and directed by Yeon Sang-Ho (“Train to Busan”). The film was also invited to the 50th annual Toronto international film festival and will hold its world premiere in the “Special Presentations” section. The film revolves around Park Jeong-Min as IM Dong-Hwan and Kwon Hae-Hyo as an im Young-Kyu father. The father has been visually impaired since birth, but he is still a master craftsman. The son then heard from the police that the remains of his mother were found. She disappeared 40 years ago.

“The Ugly” will be released in September 2025 in South Korea.

Draw the synopsis by Asianwiki: Im Dong-Hwan (Park Jeong-Min) father, Im Young-Kyu (Kwon Hae-Hyo), is a master craftsman of Seals even if he is visually impaired. One day, IM Dong-Hwan receives a telephone call from the police. It is informed that the remains of his mother Jung Young-Hee have been discovered. She disappeared 40 years ago.

Im Dong-Hwan, who has never known his mother’s face, hears that his mother was possible that his mother was murdered. IM Dong-Hwan begins to trace the death of Jung Young-Hee with PD Kim Su-Jin (Han Ji-Hyun), who was running a documentary on his father Im Young-Kyu. They interview people who worked with Jung Young-Hee in a Cheonggyeeneon clothing factory about 40 years ago.
