Main trailer and poster added for the movie “A Bad Summer” starring Takumi Kitamura and Yuumi Kawai. The film is based on the novel “Warui Natsu” by Tamehito Somei and directed by Hideo Jojo. An image track for the film was announced under the title “Cheep Hero” by rock band Okamoto’s. The track “Cheep Hero” is also featured in the main trailer.

“A Bad Summer” will be released on March 20, 2025 in Japan.

Plot synopsis by AsianWiki: Sasaki (Takumi Kitamura) is a sincere civil servant who works at the city hall. Due to his shy personality, he cannot properly handle mean people, including a single mother about to abandon her own child, another official who pressures him into having a physical relationship, and a person who unfairly receives social benefits. His passivity leads him to be drawn into a terrible crime.
