Plot synopsis by AsianWiki: Kayoko (No) is a debut novelist who won a New Writer’s Award. Due to harsh criticism from highly respected writer Munenori Higashijuujo, Kayoko was unable to make a spectacular debut or get her novel published. She decides to take revenge on Munenori Higashijuujo. Kayoko stays at the Hilltop Hotel in Tokyo and learns that Munenori Higashijuujo is staying on the floor above her room. With the help of editor Endo, who was her senior during their university years, she interrupted Munenori Higashijuujo’s writing and managed to make him miss his deadline. But Kayoko’s actions lead to more misfortune and difficulty for herself. The fate of Kayoko and Munenori Higashijuujo evolves in a direction that no one could have predicted.
