Haruka Kinami and Mahiro Takasugi are cast in the Fuji TV drama series “Konya, Himitsu no Kitchen”. The fantasy romantic drama series is based on the webcomic “Konya, Himitsu no Kitchen de” by Akiyo Kurosawa, which will be released starting March 2026. The planning of the webcomic and the drama series was jointly developed to give two different interpretations of a story revolving around a woman in a repressive relationship and finding her escape in cooking and love.

“Konya, Himitsu no Kitchen de” will be broadcast for the first time in April 2026 in Japan (takes over Fuji TV’s time slot on Thursdays at 10 p.m. after “Professional: Insurance Investigator Ren Amane”).

Plot synopsis by AsianWiki: Ayumi Tsubokura (Haruka Kinami) is a former actress, but she now lives with her husband Wataru, who is a businessman and runs popular restaurants, and a daughter from Wataru’s previous marriage. Ayumi Tsubokura is seen by others as a housewife with a rich and happy family, but she suffers from emotional abuse at the hands of her husband. The only place she feels comfortable is her kitchen, where she can be alone and undisturbed by anyone. One day, Italian chef Kei (Mahiro Takasugi) appears before Ayumi Tsubokura.
