Koki, Keisuke Watanabe and Keito Tsuna are cast in the two-part film “Megami Korin”. The film is based on the webcomic “Yeoshingangrim” by Yaongyi, which was previously adapted into the 2020 tvN drama series “True Beauty” starring Mun Ka-Young, Cha Eun-Woo and Hwang In-Yeop. For the film version, Koki will play Reina Tanigawa. She’s a teenager who gets bullied for her appearance, but she turns to makeup to transform herself.

“Megami Korin” will release its “Before” version on March 20, 2025 and its “After” version on May 1, 2025. Meanwhile, the first trailer of the film can be viewed on AsianWiki.

Plot synopsis by AsianWiki: Reina Tanigawa (Koki) is bullied at her high school because of her unattractive appearance. She starts skipping school, but realizes she can hide her unattractive appearance with makeup. Reina Tanigawa learns makeup techniques from scratch and puts a lot of effort into changing her appearance. Finally, she is able to transform into a beautiful girl through skillful use of makeup. Due to her family’s move, she transfers to a new school. At her new school, she gets involved with Shun Kanda (Keisuke Watanabe) and Yu Igarashi (Keito Tsuna). Shun Kanda is smart and handsome, but he has his own secret. Yu Igarashi dreams of becoming a singer. Both boys are captivated by Reina Tanigawa.
