Kim Hyang-Gi, Cha Hak-Yeon, Kim Jae-Hyun, Sohn Jeong-Hyuck and Kim Dong-Kyu participate in the Coupang Play drama series “Absolute Value of Romance” (literal title). The original storyline will see Kim Hyang-Gi playing the role of high school student Yeo Ui-Ju. At night, she moonlights as a novel writer and her main characters are handsome teachers. She then meets the handsome teachers in real life.

“Absolute Value of Romance” will premiere in April 2026 in South Korea.

Plot synopsis by AsianWiki: Yeo Ui-Ju (Kim Hyang-Gi) is a high school student who leads a double life. She is an ordinary student by day and a romance novel writer by night. She writes romance novels featuring handsome teachers as the main characters. Unexpectedly, she meets four such handsome teachers in her real life and she ends up having a tumultuous school life. One of the teachers is Ga Wu-Su (Cha Hak-Yeon). He’s a genius math teacher with an IQ of 156 and a Mensa member who rarely smiles. Another teacher is No Da-Ju (Kim Jae-Hyun), a Japanese teacher with a bright personality. Jung Gi-Jeon (Sohn Jeong-Hyuck) is a physical education teacher with a masculine personality. Finally, Yun Dong-Ju (Kim Dong-Kyu) is a sweet and gentle Korean teacher.
