Nam Joo-Hyuk, Roh Yoon-Seo and Cho Seung-Woo in Netflix drama ‘East Palace’

Nam Joo-Hyuk, Roh Yoon-Seo and Cho Seung-Woo are cast in the Netflix drama series “East Palace” (working title). The drama series is set in historical times and involves ghosts and spirits that exist in the palace. Nam Joo-Hyuk will play Ku-Cheon. He is able to enter the world of ghosts and kill them with his sword. Roh Yoon-Seo will play Saeng-Gang. She is a lady of the court and has a special ability to hear ghosts. Cho Seung-Woo will play the king. He is a complicated man who calls on Ku-Cheon and Saeng-Gang to take care of the curse in the palace. For actor Nam Joo-Hyuk, his role in “East Palace” marks his return to acting since he completed his military enlistment on September 19, 2024.

Plot synopsis by AsianWiki: Strange incidents are taking place in the palace. The king (Cho Seung-Woo) secretly calls Gu-Cheon (Nam Joo-Hyuk) and court lady Saeng-Gang (Roh Yoon-Seo) and asks them to find out the curse that resides in the crown prince’s palace. Gu-Cheon can cross the ghost world and has a special ability to kill ghosts with his sword. Court Lady Saeng-Gang was born with the ability to hear the sounds of ghosts. She considers her power a lifelong curse, but using her special power, she attempts to uncover the secret of the palace with Gu-Cheon. A word of unimaginable darkness awaits them.
