Trailer added for the movie “Kataomoi Sekai” starring Suzu Hirose, Hana Sugisaki and Kaya Kiyohara. The film features an original screenplay by Yuji Sakamoto and directed by Nobuhiro Doi. Yuji Sakamoto and Nobuhiro Doi previously worked together on the 2021 film “We Made a Beautiful Bouquet.” The film follows three young women who have lived together and been close for 12 years.

“Kataomoi Sekai” will be released on April 4, 2025.

Plot synopsis by AsianWiki: Three young women, Misaki (Suzu Hirose), Yuuka (Hana Sugisaki) and Sakura (Kaya Kiyohara), live together in an old house in a corner of Tokyo. They are not related by blood, but they have had a strong bond for 12 years. They care about each other and spend their ordinary days together. The question of unrequited love arises for them and they cannot tell anyone.
