Anne: Hello theater lovers! Yes, it’s been a few weeks. I’m stuck in my YouTube drama hole. I’ve been stuck there for a while. However, I managed to finish my miniature fantasy house.
The details are pretty nice… except the bathrooms. This one, the roofs didn’t turn out well at all. The way they had to be put together was not ideal. I’ll have to think about it seriously…next time. But I like the idea of this little house. Now…I wonder if I can get this built? If I have the money, I mean… (Really, I should just focus on buying a regular house.)
Okay, enough of my dreams of living in a costume drama… let’s take a look at the shows I managed to watch in the last few weeks (which wasn’t much).
Love next door

Everything was in its right place. And no, this isn’t the main CP wedding photo… notice the FL isn’t in a dress. In fact, no one got married in the end, but the path to marriage is open.

Mothers are always so stupid. And for Seung Hyo and Seok Ryu’s mothers, instead of comparing their own children, they started comparing their “in-laws”.
Jung Mo Eum got his nomination to the South Pole. Her boyfriend and daughter both moved in with Mo Eum’s mother, since they will be one family anyway. Seung Hyo and Seok Ryu’s fathers get together and get drunk; this is apparently their bonding strategy.

And the series ends with these two arguing, like they did when they were just friends. The debate is very daily. Things that happen in every relationship when real life intrudes. It’s very cute how they came up with “rules” to follow when arguing. It’s cute… but I definitely can’t keep up with them: holding hands while arguing, calling each other “sweetheart”, etc.
So… my final summary. It’s a cute drama that has some very over-the-top family friction that even I got tired of watching after a few episodes. I hate yelling, both ways. I don’t shout and I don’t like being shouted at. His family would have driven me crazy.
The only eye candy for this family…

Seok Ryu’s younger brother. Okay… yes, that slightly murky poster is the only shirtless photo… but still… This boy finally settled down and got that trainer’s license. I don’t think I’ve ever seen this type of poster for a trainer in any of the gyms (when I was exercising) that I’ve been to. Maybe I went to the wrong type of gym…hahahaha…
The rise of Ning

I love this “poster”… and Zhang Wan Yi’s role this time should not have the tragic plot of I lost you foreverdrama, right? (At some point I’ll have to finish the other one. I’ll just have to FF because of all the angst… although it might be a lot, because it was a lot of angst.)
The drama’s FL, Luo Yi Ning, was “expelled” to live elsewhere, under exactly the same circumstances under which the original Jiang Li was “expelled” in Double. But Luo Yi Ning definitely had a much better childhood than Jiang Li, thanks to her grandmother’s protection.
His “3rd brother”, Luo Shen Yuan… notice I put “brother” in quotes. We can all see that this is a romantic drama, and they really can’t work out a blood-related CP. They met by chance while she was on her way home. Even though he was wearing a mask, she noticed the scar on the back of his hand.
From the first episodes, we feel that this is a dysfunctional family. Even though his father has a new main wife, it’s still the concubine (who mentored FL) who has the most power in the harem. Seems like it would be a family drama and another mystery behind it.
The visuals are pretty…so maybe I’ll just skip the FF on the stupid stuff and see how it all ends!
Kill me, love me

I started this just for Wu Jin Yan. I really liked it in Double. But damn, can’t we start being THAT tragic? With Mei Lin’s family killed and her goal of revenge set on Murong Jing He. The mad, bloodthirsty prince has been seriously injured and everyone thinks he can’t walk. They have already met. She tried to kill him once, right after the fire that killed her entire family. The fire he was accused of starting led to beatings by the public, resulting in his serious injury which apparently healed.
Forget the fact that her costume is super sexy!

Yes, this man is a psychopathic asshole of the highest order. But a VERY beautiful one. With her character, the first kiss gives off both hatred and attraction in ML and FL. (Well…at least the ML…maybe not her…for now…)

Now…we all know he was set up…Geez, let’s see how this turns out!
Well…we all know the LF will keep trying to kill him.
It’s still for this week. These two new dramas have a certain appeal. Please let me experience my happy endings.
