Yosuke Eguchi and Aju Makita are cast in the WOWOW drama series “Dareka ga Kono Machi de”. The mystery drama series is based on the 2022 novel “Dareka ga Kono Machi de” by Hiromi San and directed by Yuichi Sato (“Strawberry Night”). For actor Yosuke Eguchi, “Dareka ga Kono Machi de” will be his first lead acting role in a drama series since the 2020 NHK drama series “Request to the Angel.” He also worked with Aju Makita earlier this year in the Netflix drama series “House of Ninjas.”

Plot synopsis by AsianWiki: Yuichi Masaki (Yosuke Eguchi) works for a law firm as an investigator. He worked as a secretary for a politician, but he was distressed by his involvement in collecting a slush fund and endured his daughter committing suicide. His daughter’s death left him with deep emotional hurt and regret. He still can’t get over the loss of his daughter. One day, a girl named Maki Mochizuki (Aju Makita) goes to the law office and asks for help in finding her family. When she was a baby, she was separated from her parents and raised in an orphanage.

Yuichi Masaki and Maki Mochizuki visit the town where she once lived with her family. They learn that there was a case of kidnapping and murder of a boy in the town. Does this case have anything to do with the disappearance of Maki Mochizuki’s family?
