Mei Hata and Mirai Shida are cast in the TV Asahi drama series “Error”. The original screenplay written by Sakiko Yashige features an unexpected friendship between two women. There are lies, secrets and betrayals between them. Mei Hata plays Yume Nakata. She tried to stop a woman from committing suicide, but learned she had died that night. Two months later, she meets Mio Osako, the daughter of this deceased woman.

“Error” will first air on April 12, 2026 in Japan.

Plot synopsis by AsianWiki: Yume Nakata (Mei Hata) makes the biggest mistake of her life. She tries to help a woman who is attempting suicide, but that night the woman commits suicide by falling from a building. Since then, Yume Nakata has felt guilty for the woman’s death. Meanwhile, Mio Osako (Mirai Shida) is the daughter of the deceased woman and she cannot accept the fact that her mother committed suicide. One day, Yume Nakata and Mio Osako meet. Yume Nakata realizes that Mio Osako is the daughter of the woman who died from that building.
