The trailer begins with Minato Makiya (Eiji Akaso) listening to a cassette player and hearing the voice of Miu Tamashiro (Moka Kamishiraishi) asking “Minato, are you okay?” The trailer’s captions then state: “It was my ex-lover’s voice that I had heard for the first time in 15 years.”
“366 Days” will be released on January 10, 2025 in Japan.
Plot synopsis by AsianWiki: In 2003, Minato Makiya (Eiji Akaso) attends Okinawa High School as a senior. He meets junior student Miu Tamashiro (Moka Kamishiraishi) from the same high school. They share the same love for music and are attracted to each other. On Minato Makiya’s graduation day, he confesses his feelings to her and they begin to have a romantic relationship. Then Minato Makiya’s mother dies of an illness. Minato Makiya is about to give up on his dream of making music, but Miu Tamashiro persuades him to go to a university in Tokyo. Two years later, Miu Tamashiro arrives in Tokyo. They meet up and enjoy their time together, while Miu Tamashiro pursues her dream of becoming a translator. One day, Minato Makiya suddenly breaks up with her and he disappears.
