Issey Takahashi is cast in the TV Asahi drama series “Reborn”. The drama series features an original screenplay written by Hiroshi Hashimoto (“SKY Castle”). For Issey Takahashi, he will play the dual role of Kosei Neo and Eito Nomoto. Koseo Neo is assassinated in 2026, but he wakes up in 2012 as Eito Nomoto.
“Reborn” will first air in April 2026 in Japan (takes over TV Asahi time slot on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. after “Saikai: Silent Truth”).
Plot synopsis by AsianWiki: Kosei Neo (Issey Takahashi) is the founder and CEO of the computer company Neoxis. He ruthlessly grew his business and, over a period of 7 years, built his own building in the heart of Tokyo, but he is content. He is determined to become number 1 in the IT industry and he will achieve it by any means necessary. He cuts off the other founding members and finds himself surrounded by enemies. He only converses with an AI and is a solitary person.
One day he was pushed down the stairs. He then wakes up in 2012 and is in the hospital. He ends up in the body of Eito Nomoto (Issey Takahashi), who looks exactly like Kosei Neo. Eito Nomoto is the complete opposite of Kosei Neo. Having retained all his memories, Kosei Neo tries to find the culprit who killed him in 2026, while he still lives under the name Eito Nomoto.
