Anne: Hello everyone! I hope those in the United States had a great Thanksgiving holiday. I spent the week finishing a project that, when I first opened the box, I was a little bit sworn about (in my head, since the 7 year old was next to me). Back story, so the little boy likes to “build” things. Usually these are Lego sets that adults still need to help with the “trickier” parts. However, he also likes to look at those stores that sell a lot of foreign products and have a lot of “construction” projects. Now… whatever I could read in the box didn’t really make sense to me. We talked about materials, fabrics, etc. So, the 7 year old wanted this “bookstore”, which was REALLY cute. Plus they had the “other buildings” if you want to build yourself a tiny village. I don’t know what I expected… except that my husband promised the 7 year old that he would start the project on a Saturday while I was out with a friend, and I came back to my husband in telling me to never buy anything like that again. .
So…the bookstore is not a project for a 7 year old. This is also probably not a project for an adult who has more difficulty reading very small print and handling small things that sometimes need TWO pairs of pliers! But I hate not finishing something. (And the bookstore is really cute.) So… it took me 4 sessions… about 4 hours each time… to finish it!
Yes… (quarter is for size reference) this is a building kit where the only pre-cut things are the “wood” pieces. You can see that the umbrella stand is crooked, because I had to make it from a wire with glue. And also make the umbrella. All books are cut paper with a thick piece of foam. The small “lamp” on the right side was made from the wire and assembled with each piece bent into shape and glued to the “wall”. But wait…this store is 3D, which means I ALSO did the stuff inside and closed it off with the back wall.

The only problem unfortunately is the light inside the store. I must have wired it wrong, because it didn’t turn on. So… lesson learned, next time, TEST the LIGHT before completing the installation. For this one, I’m going to have to remove the roof to attach the light…
And yes… I’m going to do this again… I have my eye on a “greenhouse” that looked really COOL! I’m afraid for my eyes… I bought a magnifying glass to finish the bookstore.
Ok… now let’s talk about what I managed to watch over the last few weeks.
Currently

I decided to watch this drama in one go. It is a Taiwanese life drama that focuses on one story per episode. In some episodes, the characters are more connected than others. The first and last episodes constitute the overall arc of the series. I really enjoyed that. I know I’m more inclined to dramas that have happy endings without the messiness of modern life, but I really love these life stories and all their messiness.
Episode 1: The dating show, and everyone has an agenda. The only person who went to the show to meet someone was the odd one out. What happens in the series is not reality.
Episode 2: Two people, both facing personal problems and struggles, meet and discover more than they expected.
Episode 3: A blind woman, hiding a secret, falls in love with a charming man, with more than one secret of his own, ends up understanding what everyone needs.
Episode 4: A writer, who thinks she has traveled to the future and tries to find her way back, meets a man from another planet, who is the only one to take her seriously.
Episode 5: A manager offers accommodation to his new intern and finds himself confronted with questions that he must answer himself.
Episode 6: A man welcomes his ex-girlfriend who finds herself homeless and gets the wrong idea.
Episode 7: A man and a woman, and the story between them when they discover that their two spouses are having an affair with each other.
Episode 8: A husband and wife who want to live outside of traditional gender roles, and the complications when visiting someone.
Episode 9: A widow who finds her love, with the help of her deceased husband.
Episode 10: The television producer finds himself in a delicate situation with a subordinate.
Only for love

There is no doubt that they are two very lovely people. But I got through all that drama. I haven’t quite finished it yet, but I only have 4 episodes left, so barring any other issues, it should go as planned.
Besides the main CP, Shu Yi and Shi Yan. There are two other CPs, Shi Yan’s niece and Shy Yi’s teacher friend Yu You; Guan Ji, Shi Yan’s boyfriend, and Rou Shan, Shy Yi’s best friend. The most interesting of these 3 is Guan Ji and Bi Rou Shan, both are strong characters with independent opinions, who are trying to figure out how to maintain a relationship due to their past experiences.
What I didn’t expect was that in the final stretch, Yi Yang appeared. A man who comes completely out of nowhere and pursues Shu Yi…for no reason. (Maybe it’s the episodes I haven’t finished…but it’s strange. It’s almost like he fell in love with her through her article she wrote on Shi Yan.) At least no extra time was spent on Shi Yan’s ex’s show. again… ugh… such an over the top plot.
Wang He Di is expected to play a character more like Dongfang Qing Cang in The love between the fairy and the devil…where the character has comic elements. The straight man character doesn’t fit as well…in my opinion. But that might be because I see him too often on variety shows, where he’s so stupid.
Interesting thing… remember all those YouTube dramas I watched? There is an actor, Sun Yue, who appears in several of my favorite films. I’m glad to see he played a small role in all of this. I’m sure he’s had a role in other dramas before, but this is the first one I’ve noticed him in.
Perfect marriage revenge

I just started…so I’m only on episode 3. First of all, Sung Hoon, my god, he fills out the clothes really well! Secondly, I LOVE these storylines, the rebirth/revenge thing. The only thing I have to say… there are even more false conspiracies than this one. And with all these “projects”… how can we have so much energy to plan all of this?! But I still LOVE it!
Okay, that’s all for now. I really want to start My demon…but I also want to wait for more episodes. Happy end of November everyone!
